The only part of her wing membranes that was left (which wasn't a lot) almost looked burnt. Morrowseer eyed Glory, and then Crocodile. She attacked Crocodile with our venom, once." "And here's our RainWing," Cirrus said, pointing to Glory with his tail. He would prove that SkyWings weren't lazy and actually very fierce and powerful, like Flame was. Then, maybe Flame could escape and go back to the SkyWings. Part of Flame wished that Morrowseer would see how incompetent the other dragonets were and kill them all. There was a cluster of long spikes behind his head like Cirrus had, except Morrowseer's were slightly shorter and less pointy. His claws were long and serrated, except the ones on his back talons. He didn't have the silver star-like scales under his wings like Fatespeaker did. The other half looked as if it was made of ice, glittering in the torchlight. About half of his scales were the color of the sky on a clear night, like when Flame sometimes woke up and night and just gazed up into the sky hole in the study room. It looked as if someone had splattered white paint on the side of a black dragon. What was the most unique about him was all of the IceWing traits he had. His wings were folded in, but Flame guessed that he could touch the tips of his wings to different sides of the cave if he wanted to. Flame knew Morrowseer was large, but he hadn't expected him to loom over Cirrus, Nautilus, and especially Crocodile. He poked his head out just barely enough to see and hear everyone. ![]() So he would know of Flame's existence one way or another. He would find out about Flame from everyone else's minds. But that was a problem that Future Flame had to worry about. There was just one problem, and that was the fact that Morrowseer would be reading his mind and knowing he was there. Flame almost inhaled in shock, but kept his mouth shut. Why couldn't he? Just because he was a SkyWing didn't mean he couldn't swim. Squid and Ochre always spied on Nautilus, Cirrus, and Crocodile by going into the river. He greatly wished that the Talons of Peace hadn't stolen his egg and brought it to his dumb cave. And he doubted the SkyWings were all lazy, too. How was Morrowseer allowed to see her, who couldn't even fly anymore, instead of Flame, who was a great fighter and absolutely not lazy. ![]() So Flame sat there on Cirrus's bed because he was the meanest, especially after Crocodile had just given up on life. How was he going to be taken seriously now? Why were they even letting that horrible RainWing stay, after what she had done?įlame was told to stay in the guardians' room all day for when Morrowseer came to inspect the dragonets. He loathed her, even before she melted his face off. ![]() Apparently, there were just lazy dragons who lived in the mountains and laid around all day.Īt least Flame could stay awake all day, unlike that RainWing they'd brought in as a replacement for him. They were the "lazy" tribe, according to Nautilus, Cirrus, and Crocodile. Why was he even there at all? SkyWings weren't even a part of the prophecy. He wasn't even a part of this stupid prophecy, and he found out that there were replacements for he and the other dragonets. This was definitely going to be the most terrible day of his life.

![]() If a Mac is absolutely necessary and spending over £3k for a laptop is fine then get an M1 Mac for around £1000-1200 and then spend the remaining £2100-2300 on a gaming laptop with an RTX2070 or greater. Whats more after about 10mins of running SU/Enscape the MBP/i9 will ramp up its fans to full blast and thermal throttle. I ran it in Bootcamp for several months on my 2015 MBP i7 15" With SU2018? and Enscape 2.6? … It worked, but it was sloI see that you can configure the MBP i9 with an 8Gb 5500M but you looking at around £3300 … that’s insane for a laptop and its still only a 5500M GPU. It won’t be able to run Bootcamp, but with Parallels it should be able to run the ARM version of Windows 10 natively, though I’m doubtful that Enscape will run under ARM.Īnyway, look at whether you must use Enscape, or if Twinmotion could do instead.īTW, has anyone tried or used Enscape via Bootcamp on a Mac? My plan is to replace it with an M2 MacBook Pro, should those appear in June. I am passing it on to a friend, and I will get by with my work i7 for the next few weeks. You’ll be interested to know that my i9 machine is at UPS right now. I have a lot of Adobe applications, and I have Parallels on the i9 machine, so I do often use all of the cores for other applications. SketchUp is using one core, so whether you have 5 others to use elsewhere, or 7 others, may not matter. What you said about overclocking may be true too. ![]() The 8 cores in the i9 may be why it runs warmer than the 6 cores in the i7. So far the i7 seems to run at a lower temperature, my lap is not burning as much as with my i9 machine. But, I suspect that some of the antivirus software in the work machine affects that. Some things I do on the work machine are not as quick as my own machine. My work MacBook Pro is a 16 inch 2019 i7, with 512 GB SSD, 16 GB, and still a decent GPU. It has 2 TB of SSD and 32 GB of RAM, as well as a better GPU. I looked into what it takes to set that up, and I was very glad that our IT were able to do that for me.Īre you trying to get real time rendering of SketchUp models? Or does the school dictate that it must be Enscape? Twinmotion is worth looking into, it can import SketchUp models and give real time rendering effects.Ībout the older i7 and newer i9 MacBook Pro, I’m a good person to ask about that! My own MacBook Pro is a 16 inch, late 2019 i9 machine. I will be happy if I’m wrong about this, but from what I can see Enscape doesn’t work with macOS, and they are recommending Bootcamp. ![]() If you are looking for an easy way to attach your quilt binding, look at my machine binding tutorial. I sewed it to the front side of my quilt after quilting and then I machine stitched it down. I only do bias binding on a quilt with curved edges. It is a straight edge binding, not a bias. Binding the quiltįor my binding, I cut some of the strips into smaller pieces and also added some leftover pieces for a completely scrappy binding. ![]() I bought 2 jelly rolls so I could use the fabrics for a border…I just sewed strips together and added them around the sides. I don’t recommend using the 2 1/2 inch strips pieces for a border….it stretched because of the bias edges on the blocks. There was some stretching when I quilted it and the borders didn’t lay perfectly flat but after washing and drying it looks pretty good. ![]() The back is muslin and I used Warm & Natural for the batting. I actually used only 21 of the strips from the 2nd jelly roll for the blocks since I have 20 blocks. One jelly roll – using 39 strips will give you 13 large blocks and you will have 13 small blocks leftover that could be used for another project or you could mix and match them. This design takes 80 small strip blocks – 4 to each large block design equals 20 blocks for this quilt. The quilt size is approximately 72 x 88 before adding the borders. One will have 2 muslin strips with 1 print strip in the center. One will have 2 print strips with 1 muslin strip in the center. The strips are cut the width of the fabric and are about 40 inches long.Įdit: I used yardage of muslin for the quilt – I just figured it out and it takes 4 and 1/4 yd – every tube uses 3 – 2 1/2 inch strips (7 1/2 inches) – you will have lots of odd pieces at the ends that can be used for other projects. I used a premium muslin for my solid color. I used 2 jelly rolls that had 40 strips in them for my projects but you could also cut your own 2½-inch strips of fabrics in your stash. 4 ¼ yards of muslin or a neutral fabric.Batik fabrics really look beautiful in this easy to make string quilt pattern.ĭownload a PDF of this post from my free resource library (get the password to the library in the form at the bottom of this post). Here is my tutorial on how to make Petunia Strings by the River quilt. You could make this quilt many times and they would all look different and beautiful! Using 2½-inch fabric strips for a quilt is always so much fun and depending on the fabrics you use, it will always look different. ![]() ![]() ![]() That's it! I hope you have found this tips page useful and informative. Controlling the size of a Content Control in Word. That has all been replaced with a Word Template Add-in that contains several tools you can use to simplify content control mapping: Content Control Tools. At one time, this tips page contained some relatively complex VBA procedures for mapping a small collection of content controls, and a rudimentary add-in for performing that process. Returning visitors to this page may find the content seriously diminished. Where it won't, " Repeating Data" provides several workarounds including the basic procedure to create and map your own controls. Changes made to in the XML data, the original control, or to one or more copies are automatically reflected in all the other mapped locations.įor many users, as alternate titles can be assigned to the controls as explained in " Repeating Data," these fifteen controls may meet every need. T his Microsoft Word Tips & Microsoft Word Help page introduces and provides instructions for using the 'Content Control/Variable/Bookmark & Document Property Tools (or CC/V/BM & DP)' Word template add-in. As explained in " Repeating Data," if you copy and paste one of the controls to a different location in the document then the copy is also mapped to the same XML data. The fifteen (15) built-in document properties are mapped to one of three built-in customXMLParts of the document Office Open XML File format. In the example shown below, I inserted the "Author" document property. To view and use one of these controls you simply click the Insert tab>QuickParts>Document Property, and select the property you want to insert. In fact they are still called "document properties." These controls correspond to the fifteen built-in "document properties" from previous versions of Word. The designers of Word 2007 obviously saw the benefit of this method because they were nice enough to incorporate fifteen built-in, mapped controls into every new document. The key to this power and versatility is the content controls ability to be mapped (or bound) to an XML data node stored in a document customXMLPart. One of the most powerful and versatile methods is the Content Control introduced in Word 2007. My Repeating Data Word Help & Tips page describes several methods that enable a document user to type data in one place and have it repeated (or populated) in one or more other places in the document. The purpose of this Microsoft Word Tips & Microsoft Word Help page is to provide an introduction to mapped content controls and their usefulness in creating a rich document user experience. To create a form in Word that others can fill out, start with a template or document and add content controls. |
